About This Course
The Saudi Building Code course
introduces the basics of Life Safety in buildings. This course covers important factors such as occupancy classifications and protective measures that are necessary to reduce and mitigate the risk to lives from fire and combustion products. The course also helps participants understand how to predict and calculate means of egress, as well as the required ITM program to ensure the safety of both lives and buildings. Each Engineering Code or Standard has an access code, and by understanding this code, participants will gain the skills to navigate and scroll through the code’s body effectively. The course is designed to teach these skills to its audience.
Learning Objectives
Recognize the importance of Life Safety Principles based on SBC201 and SBC801.
List the different Occupancy Classifications and Sub-Classifications.
Locate a variety of requirements for the three parts of Means of Egress.
Implement Means of Egress Awareness Systems with their ITM Program.
Compute for the Occupant Load and Egress Capacity.
Navigate the requirements for HazMats' safety with the Saudi Fire Code, SBC801.
